Abstract
In the second part of his writing, the author continues his study about the scope of the
pharmakon signifier. He analyzes the myth of King Samos, where oblivion and memory
are put into play in relation to the pharmakon as it facilitates forgetting and it´s thought
as a trap for human beings. And this is a central characteristic of the use of drugs today:
to facilitate forgetfulness, especially forgetting oneself. Another feature of the
pharmakon is the aggravation or irritation of the evils, the return against the subject,
which forgets but falls under the rule of repetition. The drug is presented, then, in a
disturbing dimension. Following Derrida, the author locates a notion of the incidence of
the word in the cure in the platonic text examined.
