Abstract
The title of this essay wants to reflect the presence in this context of a COVID-19 pandemic, of what the French thinker and historian Philippe Ariès calls the forbidden death, death in hospital, intervened, fragmented, lonely. In this scenario, healthcare personnel go after the virtue of compassion, courage and loyalty in caring for the other, to make death an appropriate death.
The purpose of this writing is to create a space for philosophical reflection in which bioethics helps for decisions that must be made in complicated situations and in conditions of uncertainty and with limited knowledge. We have to become familiar with death as we are with life, make it visible as part of it through a Pedagogy of death as proposed by Ariès, in which it is shown that death exists in order to modify the attitude of the subjects based on developed awareness of finiteness. And in this matter narrative bioethics has a lot to say.

Resumen
El título del presente ensayo quiere reflejar la presencia en este contexto de pandemia por COVID-19, de lo que el pensador e historiador francés Philippe Ariès llama la muerte prohibida, muerte en el hospital, intervenida, fragmentada, solitaria. En este escenario, el personal de la salud va tras la virtud de la compasión, el coraje y la lealtad en el cuidado del otro, para hacer de la muerte una muerte apropiada. Este escrito tiene como propósito crear un espacio de reflexión filosófica en el que la bioética ayuda para decisiones que se deben tomar en situaciones complicadas, en condiciones de incertidumbre y con un conocimiento limitado. Tenemos que familiarizarnos con la muerte como lo estamos con la vida, visibilizarla como parte de la misma mediante una Pedagogía de la muerte como propone Ariès, en la que se muestre que la muerte existe con el fin de modificar la actitud de los sujetos en función de una conciencia desarrollada de la finitud. Y en esta cuestión la bioética narrativa tiene mucho que decir.
